FAQ
Frequently asked questions about our Stalaxy Sax
What material is the Stalaxy made of?
Like all saxophones, the Stalaxy is made of brass. This is essential for a full sound and was therefore the only option for us.
Is the varnish durable? Does the saxophone scratch easily?
As we are saxophonists ourselves and use the Stalaxy "for work" every day, the durability of the varnish was very important to us. Thanks to our special powder coating, we have managed to ensure that the lacquer is very robust and does not come off. We have been playing our Stalaxy's for years, jumping through the crowd at gigs and probably demanding a lot more from the sax
than the average player. So far we have hardly any changes to the paintwork and everything looks like it did on day one. The wear and tear on the Stalaxy is just like any other golden saxophone.
What do I do if something breaks on my Stalaxy?
If something wears out or needs to be replaced, you can go to any saxophone or instrument maker and have the Stalaxy repaired there. We have deliberately opted for common standard components so that individual parts can be easily replaced If there is any major damage, you can contact us at any time. We have many spare parts (such as flaps) in stock and will find a solution together. In extreme cases, it is also possible for us to repaint the Stalaxy in Düsseldorf.
How fast is shipping?
We try to send the saxophone directly from Düsseldorf on the day of the order or the following day at the latest. Then it's up to DHL - in Germany the saxophone should be with you within two to three working days.
What is the difference between the Stalaxy alto saxophone and the Stalaxy tenor saxophone?
The alto saxophone is smaller and slightly cheaper. The sound is slightly higher. The tenor saxophone is larger and has a deeper sound. It's simply a question of taste whether you like the alto or tenor saxophone "more". Some people prefer to play alto saxophone and others tenor saxophone - so it all depends on which sound you personally prefer. Just listen to the sound examples to get an initial idea of the sound. No matter which model you choose, every Stalaxy has a full sound and top intonation.
Can I try out the Stalaxy free of charge?
Yes, you can test the Stalaxy at home for 14 days free of charge. If you are not convinced, write us a short email and we will send you a prepaid DHL return label. You are also welcome to try out the Stalaxy in one of our 25 partner stores and get advice. You can find a list of where to find the Stalaxy here.
What do I need to get started if you buy me the Stalaxy?
Nothing - all the accessories are included and you are ready to start with our course even if you are a complete beginner. Many of our new customers can play a simple song from three notes on the first day without any prior knowledge.
What can you do after the StalaxyBeginner online course?
Our course is divided into different lessons. After the course you will know all the basics: how to read music, how to breathe correctly, how to maintain a healthy posture, how to play all the notes, etc. You will also have exercises and pieces that we have written ourselves. The pieces are accompanied by professionally produced play-alongs to which you can play the songs. In addition to simple songs, we also have songs in the style of "Kygo" (tropical house) or "The Weekend" (80's synthwave).
Can I pay for the Stalaxy in installments?
Yes, if you can't pay the money all at once, we offer you the option of paying for the Stalaxy conveniently in several installments via Klarna.
